EMBODIMENT OF THE PERFORMER

Using the technique of Etienne Decroux' corporeal mime as a physical language, the focus of this 4 day intensive will be on developing the performer’s intuitive, responsive and articulate awareness of space, those within it and their relationship to the subject material.

Drawing on a variety of practices we will explore a process of generating material from the articulate and informed physicality of the performer.​

Prior experience needed

21 years old + Designed for professionals and those that have had 3 years training or equivalent.

Beginners’ Physical Theatre Games

A day of exploring playfulness, impro, physical language and presence in a relaxed, safe and collaborative atmosphere. We will look at exercises and tasks that are often part of auditions and techniques to help accessing authenticity and creativity in a potentially stressful environment of an audition.

Prior experience needed

18 + some performing experience necessary.
